Sport is the main reason most of our customers switch from cable. Here is what the GreatestIPTV line covers, how it is organised, and how to keep big games smooth.
The short answer
GreatestIPTV includes the main sports networks of the USA, the UK and Canada in every plan, alongside international sports channels, with 4K and Full HD versions where the broadcaster provides them. Football, basketball, hockey, baseball, soccer, motorsport and fight nights are covered; check your must-have channel on the free trial before you buy.
Every plan opens the same full line-up, so there is no sports add-on to buy. The difference between a good and a frustrating match night is mostly on your side of the router, which is why half of this guide is about setup.
What is covered
| Sport | Typical coverage | Where to find it |

4K, FHD and catch-up
Many sports channels come in several versions: 4K, FHD and HD. Pick 4K on a fast wired connection and FHD on Wi-Fi or a busy evening; the picture difference on a phone is small, the stability difference is large. Catch-up lets you restart a game that already began on channels that support it, and the guide shows what is on each network.
Match-night checklist
- Connect the TV or stick by Ethernet, or use 5 GHz Wi-Fi close to the router.
- Check your speed: about 25 Mbps per 4K screen, 15 to 20 for FHD.
- Restart the router in the afternoon, not five minutes before kick-off.
- Add the networks you need to favourites so you are not scrolling at kick-off.
- Keep the FHD version as a backup in favourites, next to the 4K one.
On Firestick, our GreatestIPTV Firestick guide covers the decoder and buffer settings, and the buffering guide covers the router side.
The best device for watching sport
A Smart TV app works, but for sport a Fire TV Stick 4K Max, an Android TV box or an Nvidia Shield running TiviMate is noticeably better: faster channel switching, a cleaner guide and stronger Wi-Fi than most TVs have built in. If you watch on the TV’s own app, use a cable. Our best streaming device for IPTV compares them.
For the phone in the stands or at work, GSE Smart IPTV on iPhone and IPTV Smarters Pro on Android both take the same login. Remember that a phone counts as a screen while it plays, so on a one-screen plan pause the TV first.
